Dinner at the Brouw's

Our friends Tim and Kim (I'm not joking) and their baby son Jim (now I'm kidding, his name is Ethan) had Laura and I over for a barbie. Alfie and Nancy were there too to check out the renovations to Tim and Kim's place. I have to say the renovations are superb. Tim is an architect so I guess that must have helped. I would've taken more pics of their excellent job, except we got there after dark and my little digital camera wouldn't have been up to the task.
A good time was had by all...

Lunch at Watson's Bay

Took another trip out to Watson's Bay for some fish and chips. It's nice to get out there despite the crowds and all the damn birds.

Dinner at Jackie's

Laura's friend Jackie invited us over for a dinner party. Fortunately she lives just 'round the corner in easy walking distance, so thats just what we did. Her flatmate Vijaya fussed over us a bit (as did Jackie) and a good time was had by all. Apart from us and the hosts were Kylie, Lisa and Adam, Robert and Simone.

Laura's quiet day with Michelle

I'll let Laura continue with the story...
"The next morning my head felt like it had been squeezed into a drag queens stiletto, I had the worst head cold. A lazy morning chatting led to breakfast at our favourite cafe and Shell and I walked around Paddington shopping until she had to leave for Brisbane again. A lovely weekend, apart from the head cold."

The Mardi Gras

Well I had a fairly boring weekend, whereas Laura had friends over and went to the Mardi Gras. Kid you not she took a million photos. Seriously! One million. Anyhoo, that means I'm gunna be coding this page for the next month, so I'll let Laura tell the story.
"My girlfriend Michelle flew down this weekend with Fredelle and David to go to the Mardi Gra Parade. I was never that excited about going but as it was a happening just a few minutes down the road and I was now living in the 'gay quarter' of Sydney I felt it was partly my duty to cheer on the parade this year.

Royce had too much work on to enjoy being a spectator so he and I went to dinner at his favourite schnitzel place, Una's,and from there I walked down to oxford street to find my friends at the parade. David's sister Le-Anne had staked out the perfect spot underneath the Taxi Club at about 4pm and we all very much appreciated her effort as there was no way that I would have seen anything otherwise. Lucky for us short people some genius was selling milk creates for $5 a pop. I'm not sure the Dairy Farmers would approve but they were a necessary item for all us liddle people. It was a great night and I was so glad I went. The colour, the costumes (or lack of), there was such a warm feeling of love and happiness. After the parade Michelle, Fredelle, David and I went for a coffee and walked around Kings Cross to check out the sights before heading back to our apartment where we found Royce watching cricket. We all vowed to do it again next year but now Fredelle and David had a very early flight so we drove them back to their hotel at around 1.30am, Michelle and I crashed shortly after arriving back home."

Here are some of the 1 Billion photographs - be patient, they'll take a while to load.
