Sunday was a chance to go into the city. Poppy used to work at the opera house so we were definitely going there for a bit. His friend Mick wasn't working, so no tour today, and even tough it was pretty overcast, it was still nice to get out.
So what happened to days 1 through 4 I hear you ask? Well here's the skinny; Laura's Mum and Nan and Pop came down for a week to visit, but I had to work so I really didn't get to spend any time with them until Saturday. So day 5 it is!
They managed to rent a room in our building, up on level 15, and with a nice view of the city. I took some photos (in case other friends want to visit) of the apartment and the view. I think you'll agree, not too shabby for $90 per night.
In the afternoon we all drove up to Gosford to visit some more of Laura's rellies. It was a nice laid-back afternoon that led into a delicious steak-filled evening for Laura and I. Borrowing Poppy's car, we were able to drive to Manly and go to our favourite meat-restaurant, Ribs and Rumps. Says it all really.
